NOCO Boost Air can only jump start 12V lead acid batteries. This includes wet, gel, maintenance free, enhanced flooded battery, and absorbent glass mat batteries.

The provided USB-C cable is 24" (61 cm) in length. Boost Air charges with a standard USB-C port, so if a longer or shorter cable is preferred then the provided cable can be replaced with any compatible USB-C cable.

The AX65 has an overall IP55 rating which makes it durable to environments with moderate dust and water exposure. However, AX65 is not fully waterproof or dust-tight, and should not be submerged in water or exposed to heavy dust for extended periods. The NOCO Boost Air can be used to jump-start the 12V lead acid starting battery in the vehicle and to inflate its tires. However, the AX65 must not be connected to any other type of batteries, including the high-voltage battery in hybrid vehicles. 

Yes, Boost Air is USB-C rechargeable, independent of your country’s electrical standards (e.g., 120V or 220V). It can be charged using any good-quality AC to USB-C adapter, 12V to USB-C adapter, or USB-C-compatible power outlet, including those in vehicles.

No, do not attempt to use Boost Air to jump start a lithium battery. Lithium batteries are sensitive to how current is applied to the battery, jump starting a lithium battery could become extremely dangerous.

There isn't a direct Boost-to-SAE adapter since the SAE cable isn't rated for the output of the Boost Air. You can install the eyelet cable alongside the SAE cable you have on your battery, then plug the device directly into the GBC007 when jump-starting.

No. While Boost Air can jump start your car battery it is not a battery charger. If you need to charge your car battery we recommend using a NOCO charger for charging and maintaining 6V or 12V batteries lead acid, AGM or Lithium batteries.

If AX65's Automatic Shuttoff does not activate as expected, make sure the cable connection is tight and there are no leaks in the system, and refer to the product's User Guide. Contact support if the problem persists.

For vehicles with dual battery configurations, connect both the positive and negative clamps of Boost Air to the battery closest to the starter.

• If your batteries are in parallel, you can use two Boost Air units to double the starting power if needed.
• If your batteries are in series, you cannot use any 12V Boost. A 24V jump starter would be required.

Yes. Boost Air models are FAA-compliant and can be taken on a plane, however, they must be in your carry-on as lithium batteries are not permitted in checked luggage. All Boost Air models are under 100Wh which is the limit set by the FAA. For more information or current updates, please see the link below to the FAA guidelines. We also recommend contacting the airlines you are flying to see if they have additional restrictions.

The AX65 is designed to jump start 12-volt lead-acid batteries down to 3-volts. If your battery is below 3-volts, the Boost LED will be "OFF". This is an indication that the AX65 can not detect a battery. If you need to jump start a battery below 3-volts there is a Manual Override feature, which allows you to force "ON" the jump start function.

Yes. Boost Air will arrive partially charged. Fully charge the unit before first using it to ensure optimal performance.

Please charge the unit before storing it to elongate its lifetime. NOCO Boost Air should not be stored below -4ºF (-20ºC), and not exceed 122ºF (50ºC) for any reason. Storing outside of these ranges can cause damage to multiple crucial components of the device. Store at 77ºF (25ºC) for optimal longevity. Do not store outdoors. Instead, store in a dry indoor location with at least 0.50 inch (12.7 mm) of space around the product to allow for adequate airflow. Wrap the hose and disconnect cables to protect them during storage.

NOCO Boost Air can operate within the temperature range -4ºF to 122ºF (-20ºC to 50ºC). AX65 is equipped with thermal sensors that will prevent it from operating outside of this temperature range for your own safety.

Nothing, it is perfectly safe. Boost Air has built-in spark-proof sensors that prevent power from being delivered unless a battery is detected or the device is in Manual Override Mode.

The REVERSE POLARITY error LED will illuminate, but it is perfectly safe and there won't be any sparks. With Reverse Polarity Protection, Boost Air will not deliver power unless connected to the battery correctly.

No. Boost Air should be recharged in temperatures between 32ºF to 104ºF (0ºC to 40ºC). Remove from heat source and allow the battery to cool down before recharging.

No. Remove Boost Air from direct sunlight. The ambient temperature in a car can increase to 50°C (122°F) within just 10 minutes.

No, our product is equipped with advanced circuitry designed to maintain the battery in a safe state, provided the unit is not tampered with and is charged using a USB-C compliant charger. Do not attempt to modify, service, or tamper with the charging circuitry or bypass the Battery Management System (BMS). Any unauthorized actions will immediately void the product warranty and absolve NOCO of any liability for any resulting harm, damage, or injury, including risks of fire, electrical shock, or property damage.

The built-in lithium-ion battery is not user-replaceable and is designed to remain sealed within the unit. Do not attempt to replace, modify, or tamper with the battery under any circumstances. Handling a damaged or leaking lithium-ion battery is extremely hazardous and may result in serious injury, fire, or property damage. For disposal or assistance with a faulty unit, contact NOCO or refer to the contact information provided on the back of the unit. Any unauthorized attempts to service, alter, or replace the battery will immediately void the product warranty and release NOCO from any liability for resulting harm, damage, or injury.

The hose is 3 feet (0.91 m) long and is made of black EDPM with polyester fiber braiding for durability.

Unfortunately at this time we do not manufacture cases for the Boost Air models. All Boost Air models come with a microfiber bag for storage.

 If your positive and negative posts are too far away from each other, you can also connect to a negative ground on the vehicle chassis rather than the negative post. 
Unfortunately, there are no extension cables available for the clamps on Boost Air products as extending the cables would reduce the starting power they produce.

Boost Air can be charged using any standard USBC to USBC cable like the ones many smartphones and tablets use. NOCO also offers USBC charging cables, go to XGrid Products to purchase one.
